Stacey Earle and Mark Stuart are a singer-songwriter couple from Nashville, TN who visited Lancaster earlier this month to perform at a Wood Stove House concert to benefit our friends at Bridge of Hope National. Stacey and Mark have been performing together for 20 years and spend over 270 days a year on the road playing in theaters, coffee houses, house concerts, and listening rooms.
In the late 1990s they began to carve out their own version of the music business first by releasing all of their records on their own independent record label called Gearle Records, and later by taking over all booking and management operations. They are a self-sustaining DIY operation who consistently navigate the modern folk and listening room movement year after year. I caught up with Stacey and Mark just before their house concert in Lancaster to chat about life on the road and their latest album, Dedication.

Long’s Park Amphitheater Foundation
