The Parliament is an art collective from York, PA with a mission to revitalize and improve the quality of life through the arts in the city of York. In the past couple of years, the group opened a gallery downtown and now rents studio space to local artists and musicians. The Parliament opens a new show each first Friday and has worked with over 150 artists so far. Rita King, Curator for The Parliament is one of my guests on today’s episode.
Also on the program it’s Nick Mohler from the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen here to talk about Lancaster Fall ArtWalk coming up this weekend, October 6 & 7. The twice annual Lancaster arts weekend features 33 participating galleries and is a great way to explore the Lancaster visual arts scene without the hustle and bustle of First Fridays.
