Today on the program we welcome John Modern, with a brand new segment, A Modern Look at Classic Albums. John is a Religious Studies professor at Franklin and Marshall College and the co-host of Solid Side Vinyl with Jeremy Seedorf, Thursdays from 9 to 11pm on WFNM 89.1. Today John takes a look at the 1978 debut album from Devo, Are We Not Men? We Are Devo.
Then, Linda Davis joins us for an update on the Music Makers of Lancaster project. This is a photography project inspired by the worldwide 100 Strangers project on Flickr. Finally, Charlie Muench and Oliver Craven from The Stray Birds check-in with an update on their wildly successful 2012 since the release of their first full-length album, The Stray Birds. the band will be back on the road this week, but you can catch them live at the World Cafe Live in Philadelphia on Thursday, January 31 at 8pm.
