Morton’s Dance Center
Elijah Morton is the founder of Morton’s Dance Center, a dance studio here in Lancaster that focuses on hip hop dance. Elijah started the studio just about a year ago and it’s been thriving ever since, but today, February 17, MDC is opening their brand new expanded location at 301 East Main St. in Landisville.
Elijah is not just passionate about hip hop dance, he’s also passionate about hip hop dance education. MDC provides dance classes for kids from ages 6 and up and also runs two competitive dance troupes called CONstruct and UNDER CONstruct. Austin Telenko is one of the co-captains of CONstruct. Austin and Elijah from Morton’s Dance Center joined me to talk about everything MDC, including the exciting future they’re building right here in Lancaster.
