House Concert: The Beggar Folk 4/16/11
Wood Stove House concerts and Tabor Community Services presents:
The Beggar Folk
The Beggar Folk are Josh and Trista Lamb, a band of folk singer-songwriters from Lancaster, PA.
Their music is mellow and intimate…finger-picking, warm harmonies, thoughtful lyrics, and a fierce love for both man and creator have all lead to The Beggar Folk’s ability to stir their listeners. Their distinct blend of modern folk+old country lends a natural avenue to their strong storytelling and minimalist roots.
This concert is part of the Creative Homes for Creative Homes benefit house concert series. Proceeds from the concert will benefit Tabor’s Home Fund, which is a Tabor Community Services program that will establish a revolving fund which will be used to provide working capital to acquire, renovate, and sell residential properties in Lancaster. Blighted properties will be targeted for these projects. Proceeds from sales will provide new unrestricted revenue to support Tabor’s client programs services.Tabor’s Home Fund will also promote home ownership, increase the availability of affordable housing, and contribute to community revitalization. As a social enterprise initiative, Tabor’s Home Fund is rooted in Tabor’s historical mission and closely aligned with our current organizational capacities.
