Wood Stove House concerts presents: Fil Campbell

Northern Irish singer Fil Campbell comes from the border village of Belleek in Co. Fermanagh and was brought up on the folk songs that were popular in Fermanagh and Donegal. She started singing semi professionally while still at school and eventually returned to full time performing in the 1990s after a spell working as a music publicist and radio presenter for BBC Northern Ireland.
Dublin’s Evening Herald commented that her voice was eminently suited to these old gems and she has a knack of making every song sound brand new.
Fire in the Glen (Tom Knapp & Jason Mundok) will open the show with a lively presentation of blistering fiddle tunes, mug-thumping pub songs and soulful ballads and airs.
